B2B News for May 12, 2022: First Integrated Metaverse, Gaming, and Crypto Media Company Created, CGI Sends $1 Million to Ukraine

Today’s Holodeck Media merger with Arslanian Media Group may have created the first integrated metaverse, gaming, and crypto media company. Arslanian’s collection of crypto content, ranging from podcasts and newsletters to 60-second market updates and long-form educational content, will become part of the Holodeck Media portfolio. Henri Arslanian will join the Holodeck Media Board of Directors.

Bemis Associates, a manufacturer of thermoplastic films, tapes, and adhesives for bonding got a little bigger today. The company has acquired France-based manufacturing company, Protechnic.

According to the press release, Protechnic’s focus on global growth and innovation aligns with Bemis’ business strategy of product portfolio and manufacturing footprint expansion.

“This acquisition will allow Bemis to produce new and exciting products globally, specifically in the US, Europe and Asia where we have key manufacturing facilities,” said Mike Johansen, President, Bemis Associates.  Additionally, it will allow Bemis to introduce Protechnic products to the apparel, industrial and consumer electronics markets on an international scale.

CGI, in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross, has donated $1 million to relief efforts in Ukraine. The funds come through both employee donations and company contribution. CGI is partnering with organizations to provide support for people remaining in Ukraine and to help resettle refugees while engaging in recruitment.
