Waze, a leading crowd-sourced navigation app, today announced the appointment of its new Chief Marketing Officer. Waze’s statement:
Today, Harris Beber joins Waze as our Chief Officer (CMO) to lead global marketing, partnerships, and communications. Harris has more than 20 years of experience building and scaling mission-driven consumer and technology brands and is passionate about using storytelling to drive emotion.
Harris joins us most recently from Vimeo, where he helped scale Vimeo’s community of 260M+ video professionals, businesses, and brands and helped take the company public in 2021.
While at Vimeo, Harris grew the marketing organization from 30 people to more than 100 people and helped increase total company revenue by 400 per cent. Forbes named him one of the 50 Most Innovative Marketers Transforming Business in a Changed World. Harris previously served as CMO at The Nature’s Bounty Company, and held various senior marketing positions at Amazon, Shutterfly and 1-800-Flowers.com.
In 2010, he successfully sold his retail eCommerce business, Giftback, which pioneered pairing charitable giving with everyday purchases. He holds a B.A. and MBA from Binghamton University.
