B2B News for Tuesday, August 17, 2021: Not Heading Back to the Office, Seismic Acquires Lessonly, & Plannuh Marketplace Integration

Do you know if or when you’ll be going back to the office? According to the Workforce Confidence Index released by LinkedIn, nearly 1/3 of employees have no idea about their company’s plans for office return. Only 10% of workers have been told that they won’t be returning to the physical workplace within the next quarter. 66% of workers surveyed said the attractions of the physical workplace were opportunities to collaborate and 65% named the chance to socialize with others in person. Finance workers were the most optimistic about the future for their employers while education, health care and public administration workers were the least confident that the situation for their employers would improve.

Seismic has acquired Lessonly. Seismic is a sales enablement tool while Lessonly is a training, coaching, and enablement solution. With the acquisition, Seismic also announced the close of its Series G funding round of $170 million. The funding brings Seismic’s valuation to $3 billion. It will be used to continue expanding Seismic’s platform, R&D, and global footprint.

With the acquisition of Lessonly, Seismic now provides a seamless seller experience where sellers can quickly and easily access sales and marketing content alongside learning programs, practice scenarios, and coaching plans.

“Over the past few years, Lessonly has become a close strategic partner and we have forged strong ties across our teams, complementary capabilities, and joint customers,” said Doug Winter, co-founder and CEO of Seismic. “Together, we are a stronger and smarter sales enablement platform — the only one that gives sales leaders the confidence they’ll hit their numbers, and ensures all sellers are able to engage with customers in the most effective way possible throughout their buyers’ journeys.”

Plannuh is now listed on the Hubspot App Marketplace. Plannuh’s marketers describe it as a marketing leadership platform that supports the creation and management of marketing plants, budgets and ROI. App Partners on the Marketplace are independent software vendors who have built an integration with HubSpot and had their submission accepted.

Performance metrics from HubSpot can now be uploaded directly into a Plannuh’s customers’ marketing plan to see campaign results.

“Plannuh has numerous customers that use HubSpot for executing digital campaigns, so we are excited about the integration knowing it will help our customers more accurately prove and improve the value of their marketing,” said Peter Mahoney, Plannuh’s CEO.
