The acquisition of Gracenote’s global database and technology solutions – which span across platforms including multichannel video programming distributors (MVPDs), smart televisions, streaming music services, connected devices, media players and in-car infotainment systems – significantly expands Nielsen’s footprint with major clients.

Cologix, a network neutral interconnection and data center company, and Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners announced the signing of a definitive merger agreement, through which Stonepeak will acquire a majority interest in the company. The transaction will provide Cologix increased access to capital for its growth plans and Stonepeak a marquee platform to enter the data center and interconnection market in North America.

IBM Security announced it has completed the acquisition of Agile 3 Solutions. The software is used by the C-Suite and senior executives to better visualize, understand and manage risks associated with the protection of sensitive data. IBM Security had previously announced it had entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Agile 3 Solutions. Financial terms were not disclosed.
