Linda Sawyer, Chairman of Deutsch and former chief executive, is leaving the agency at the end of this year, after a 27-year run. Mike Sheldon, who took over as North America chief executive last year when Sawyer became Chairman, will now take on the role.

DigitasLBi has brought in an experienced account planner to be its senior vice-president/creative strategy, hiring David Chriswick for its Chicago and San Francisco offices.
Chriswick, a multiple award-winning account planner, comes to DigitasLBi from DDB Worldwide, where he was global strategy director, leading the international Mars account and the global rollout of the iconic “Taste the Rainbow” campaign for Skittles.

Leading international market research provider, MarketsandMarkets, announced the launch of its North American headquarters in Seattle, Washington. The India-based firm, which employs more than 1,000 worldwide including a team of 850 full-time research analysts and consultants, also announced it has hired a new team to lead its North American operations.
Key executives joining the MarketsandMarkets North American leadership team include Dan Holmes, a 14-year veteran of Gartner who will serve as Senior Vice President and Head of the North American Operations; Frank Capovilla, a long-time Gartner sales leader who will serve as Group Vice President; former General Motors and Frost & Sullivan executive, Lisa Whalen, who will serve as Vice President of Consulting for the automotive practice; and Jagdish Rebello, PhD, a former IHS executive who will serve as Global Vice President for the firm’s semiconductors and electronics practice.
