The Best Coworking Spaces for Your B2B Start Up: Part 2

Last updated on July 26th, 2016 at 06:26 pm

Last week, we featured two co-working spaces for your B2B startup. Now, we have two more that each bring something to the table for entrepreneurs.

Join a co-operative: Cowork Niagara

What if your B2B start-up could make up to 30% more money? That is the reality of the freelancers at Cowork Niagara. The 60-member network, educational events and opportunity to be part of a social enterprise are all factors that lead to increasing worker resilience and income.

Cowork Niagara is English Canada’s first and only cooperative co-working space. President Trevor Twining sees the co-operative model of business as the “best kept secret” of enterprises. At Cowork Niagara, every member has a voice in how the business is run. This involvement leads the entrepreneurs to have more concern than just the profit that is driving Cowork Niagara forward.

Twinning says Cowork Niagara is open for “anybody that works for themselves and does so in a way they can essentially work from anywhere.” For an individual starting their B2B business, the price of a year membership at Cowork Niagara is $125, and $100 a month for a “hot-desk”. When you buy into a membership at Cowork Niagara, you will also be part of Startup Canada’s Start-up Space Fund, having access to eight other Ontario co-working spaces.

Have access to exclusive events: WeWork

WeWork, a company that has been around for just 6 years is already one of the world’s 10 richest start-ups, expected to hit $1 billion in revenue in 2017.  Whether it is creating a global community of innovators, the core values that are instilled in every member, or the free beer on tap, this co-working platform for creators is generating the “WeWork effect”.

Have you ever heard of going to summer camp with the people who work at your co-working space? In August, WeWork is hosting an all-inclusive weekend for members in Upstate New York. Although there are many aspects that set WeWork apart from the other co-working spaces we’ve profiled, the main benefit of becoming a member at WeWork is the unique events they provide. The 30 locations worldwide each have events like “live life like it’s a Bollywood movie!” and “board game night” at least once a week.

For $220 USD a month, members get access to these events, a hot desk, countless perks, a network of over 40,000 members and a digital app that lets you connect and work virtually with other members around the world (and potentially find potential clients for your B2B).
